Giveaway Day (week) via Sew Mama Sew

Giveaway is closed
Eeek!  Giveaway Day is here again via Sew Mama Sew!

Talk about doing things last minute, like I did in my last post. I just saw yesterday that Sew Mama Sew was having another Giveaway Day today.  So I had to crank something out to participate in this fun giveaway day(week).

For those of you who don't know,  Sew Mama Sew host a day for all blogs and shops, who opt to participate,  to give something away.  All blogs, shops, and readers can go to one location to obtain a list of new blogs to read, and new shops to shop, with a bonus, the chance to win goodies in this week long event.

Now I can't wait to tell you about my giveaway...

One of my most useful items that I've made is my small clutch.  I use it everyday, and for me it's better than a standard store wallet.  I can toss my dollars, coins, and credit cards into it.  This biggest plus for me is a place to put my coins.  With most store wallets the section for the coins is limited to very little.  I don't know about you, but I tend to need a bit more room for more than just 10 coins.  That is one reason why I started making my folding coin purses, to hold more change, but I moved on up to the clutch when I made this little lovely, out of vintage sheets.

My everyday wallet/clutch.
I love how vintage sheets just seems to blend in so well with one another.  I got over 50 vintage sheets posted on my Flickr page, and you can pick your own bundle of 10 vintage sheet fat quarters from my Etsy shop for only $10.

So for this giveaway I have a fresh off the machine small clutch, also made out of vintage sheet goodness.  Perfect for a casual night out when your traveling light.  Throw in your ID some cash and your favorite gloss.  Use it like an everyday wallet like me and throw in all your cash, coins, cards and receipts.  Need a case for your reading glasses?  Then this is just for you.

This could be yours!

This giveaway is open internationally and to enter I want to know one thing.  Do you procrastinate or do you keep a list to get things done ahead of time?

I'm a last minute type of person, but I do think way in advance (sometimes) on things I want to do, but then procrastinate.  I know I'm not alone, but I want to see how many procrastinators are out there, and those of you who don't procrastinate maybe give a tip to help get over this procrastinating hurdle.

Please one comment per person.  A winner will be chosen at random via random.org.  Entries for the giveaway will no longer be taken after 5 p.m PST December 16, 2011.

Have fun hopping Giveaway Day via Sew Mama Sew!!!

  1. What a fabulous giveaway! Thanks! I procrastinate on everything! Probably why I spent the last two weeks quilting quilts for Christmas when the tops have been done for MONTHS! I had to wait until I only had 10 sewing days left!!!

  4. what a gorgeous little clutch. It's perfect for a small crochet project - the one that you fiddle with in queues and longish car rides :)

I put things off for a while, but when I get going - woowee - the I'm going. this drives my huby up the wall (he's very organised and timeline orientated). I tell him it's not in the method as much as the result :)

Thank you for a great giveaway.

  6. Hi, I think I do both, sometimes I don't do much (just spend time on the internet viewing crafts blogs) and other times I do a lot!

  7. Oh I'm a list maker..... I have lists of my lists! And a big notebook that I keep them all in - how sad is that??

  8. Serious procrastinator here! My famous last words...I've got plenty of time...hehehehe! Oh the number of times it has come back to bite me in the rear. And then when I am struggling I cover it up with "I work better under pressure" what a crock! Thanks for a great giveaway.

  9. Lol! I love this question! I do both at the same time if that's at all possible... I get things prepped far enough in time and then I will put it off for awhile. Then when it gets to crunch time I'm scrambling to get it sent out, even though it would have been finished for quite some time. I'm getting better though! I just hate how much I can procrastinate, especially when my mind goes a million different ways. I adore that cute little clutch. I am a vintage sheet collecter (hoarder) too. I've entered 2 VS bags into SMS giveaway day as well! Thanks!

  10. When it comes to Christmas, I don't procrastinate (I'm one of those people who are done their shopping by December 1st). But when it comes to every other thing in life, I procrastinate all the time. Whats my Christmas anti-procrastinating secret? A serious fear of large crowds mixed with fear of things I want to buy already being sold out (or not arriving in time).
That clutch is adorable by the way!!

  11. What a cute clutch! Ha, I'm another procrastinator. Every once in a while I'll finish in advance, but to be honest I don't know what I do different on those occasions. It's so easy to find other things to do!

  15. I make a lot of lists, which makes me feel organised. But there's usually several things which keep getting shifted from list to list and not getting done, so in that way I'm pretty good at procrastinating too!

Very handy and pretty looking clutch x

  33. I keep lists... but they never seem to help, ever. But I do like looking at them :)
I have a deep deep love for vintage sheets. They're hard to come by in these parts (I live at the beach in Florida where people don't stay long or have vacation homes) so I'm constantly on the look out. It's a seriously amazing and joyous day when I can find even 1!
I just made a Vintage Ruffle Bag (http://www.etsy.com/listing/88472646/vintage-ruffle-bag-light-blue-floral) and if I won, I would have to unlist it so I could have a matching set! I LOVE this print!!
    Thanks for joining in!
    Happy Holidays!

  37. I love to keep a small notebook by my night stand and before I close my eyes at night, I write down anything that's on my mind to do for the next day. It helps me clear my mind to sleep. When I wake up, I've got a handy dandy list all ready for me that I may (or may not) choose to do that day.

This purse reminds me of my dear grandmother, she owned an apron very similar to this pattern. Have a beautiful day! CenteringCoach{at}gmail{dot}com

  51. I am a procrastinator, bad in fact. But i have purchased a day planner and have written out some specifics that I truly intend to do. I will sew no less then one hour a day, I will crochet no less then one day a week and I will find time to stitch at least one hour each day. I love to do these three things and hopefully committing to it on paper and then journaling what I did, I will carry through. Wish me luck I need it.

  54. I am a procrastinater! My problem is poor time management. I always think I have more time then I do and that it won't take me as long as it will! I have yet to figure it out, but I at least can be laid back and relaxed about it.
